The Site Reliability Engineer (SRE)will be responsible for maintaining the availability, reliability, and scalability of Wesco’s customisation systems. This position combines system monitoring,automation, incident management,and cloud infrastructure optimization to ensure seamless system performance and uptime.
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Maintain high availability and reliability of production systems through proactive monitoring and performance management.
- Provide primary operational support for large-scale distributed applications.
- Manage incident resolution triage, communication,engagement, escalation, and documentation.
- Collaborate with platform administration teams to define and achieve stability and scalabilitygoals.
- Work with technical and QA team to identify risks and implement preventive measures.
- Improve system performance setting service level objectives(SLOs) with development teams.
- Participate in system design,capacity planning, and platform management.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATION
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Information technology, Computer Science, or related field.
- Experience in incident response and technical troubleshooting.
- Proficiency in enterprise monitoring tools like New relic,Nagios, Dynatrace, Datadog, Splunk,or Azure Monitor.

- Strong experience in cloud infrastructure (AWS / Azure / GCP),databases, and application performance management.
- Proven knowledge of disaster recovery and business continuity planning.
- Familiarity with performance testing, capacity planning, and fault management.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills in cross-functional teams.
- Familiar with DevOps tools such as Jira, Confluence, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Excellent understanding of automation, coding principles, and resilient system design.
