The Tax Operations team worksclosely with their clients, agencies,and internal teams such asonboarding, customer care, andbanking. Their primary focus isensuring compliance with US payrolltax filing and deposits for theirclients. The Tax Specialist will beresponsible for contributing to theday-to-day success of the TaxOperations team. This individual willbe responsible for the completion oftasks related to maintaining client taxprofiles and ensuring a smooth clientexperience. In addition, the TaxSpecialist will serve as a key.
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Perform routine payroll tax profileaudits of existing clients to ensureaccuracy.
- Processes payroll corrections toprepare for amendments andcommunicates summaries of thecorrections to clients
- Completes monthly New HireReporting to state agencies
- Communicates with clientsregarding missing or invalidaccount information·
- Maintain individual performanceto meet established team goals and OKRS
- Obtain accurate tax jurisdictionaccount information to ensuretimely filing and payment of payrolltax obligations
- Participate in various processesand initiatives to ensure accuratepayments and filings of client taxes
REQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATION
- Associates or Bachelor’s Degreepreferred
- 1 to 5 years experience working ina similar role or closely related field·
- Knowledge of US payroll taxesincluding federal, state, local, andpaid family leave
- Prior experience in a customerservice role.
- Excellent written and verbalcommunication skills
- Ability to adapt to change andvarying job responsibilities· Effectively manage time and self-start projects
