ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Conduct risk assessments and identify, document, and prioritisetechnical risks across theenvironment, translating complex vulnerabilities into actionablebusiness risks.
- Perform threat modelling forapplications, services, andinfrastructure to identify attackvectors and security gaps and Lead threat modelling sessions withengineering teams for new featuresusing frameworks like STRIDE.
- Manage the end-to-end lifecycle ofvulnerabilities found in oursoftware and infrastructure.
- Implement and tune SAST (Static),DAST (Dynamic), and IAST(Interactive) tools to ensure high-quality security signals withoutslowing down development.
- Perform manual code reviews forcritical business logic thatautomated tools might miss.
- Monitor, triage, and investigatesecurity alerts generated fromintrusion detection scripts, SIEMs,and other detection mechanisms.Develop custom scripts (Python,Notification details will be hidden duringsharing or screen recording
- Collaborate with developmentteams to remediate findings andembed security into CI/CD pipelinesensuring code is scanned andverified before deployment.
- Document findings, responseactions, and securityrecommendations clearly andeffectively
REQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATION
- Experience: 0-2 years in SecurityOperations/ Application SecurityEngineer
- Strong understanding of networkprotocols, Linux internals, and theMITRE ATT&CK framework.
- Solid understanding of threatmodeling methodologies (e.g.,STRIDE, attack trees) and Hands-onexperience with SAST, DAST, andIAST tools.
- Hands-on experience with AppSectooling (e.g., Snyk, Veracode,Checkmarx, Burp Suite, Zap, orContrast Security).
- Proficiency in at least one majorlanguage for building security toolsand automation.
- Familiarity with AWS, Azure, orGCP security services andInfrastructure as Code, along withexperience in log analysis, alerttuning, false-positive reduction, andresponding to intrusion detectionor custom security alerts, is anadded advantage.
